The Embassy of Venezuela and the Embassy of Ecuador in Canada, held the first bilateral meeting to heighten the relationship of brotherhood that both countries live. Ambassador Wilmer Barrientos by Venezuela and Ecuador Nicolas Trujillo, recognized the strategic importance of coordinated work and promoting Latin America as a united people.
Since the arrival of the Bolivarian revolution of Hugo Chávez, and under the presidency of Rafael Correa, the bilateral relationship between the two nations is close cooperation and brotherhood. Today, both nations maintain more than 120 cooperation agreements.
