Ottawa, March 12, /2015. In the city of Ottawa, Canada's capital, at least 50 representatives of different groups of solidarity with Venezuela and Canadian organizations that defend human rights, rallied in defense of Venezuela, democracy and sovereignty; and against US interference that has recently attacked the Bolivarian nation.
The demonstrators gathered near the Canadian Parliament and the US Embassy in Canada, where they denounced the serious accusation made by the Government of the United States to classify Venezuela as a "Threat to National Security and to Foreign Policy of the United States ".
In this regard, the Embassy of Venezuela in Canada, in a statement has declared: “Venezuela has an impeccable and recognized reputation in seeking peace at international, regional and national levels, including the call for non-violence in the Middle East; the promotion of dialogue table for the search for peace in Colombia; the strong rejection of Coup attempts, among others. A notable example of this Bolivarian, democratic and peaceful spirit has been the election to a seat on the United Nations Security Council; receiving 181 votes when only 122 were required”.
