The countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) expressed its strong opposition to current interventionist actions against the people of the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela promoted in the Congress of the United States.
The called "Law on Protection of Human Rights and Civil Society in Venezuela 2014", approved by the Senate and House of Representatives of US government, is an encouragement to the destabilization of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and opens up unconstitutional legal actions against the legitimately elected government and President Nicolas Maduro.
Once again it is evident how the American extreme right uses all its economic and political power to attack sovereign and independent peoples of the Americas.
Its surprisingly and immoral that Washington intends to punish citizens of a sovereign country in the name of human rights, just as the Committee on Intelligence of his own Senate has just unveiled a report on the shameful methods used by the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States, including brutal torture and degrading actions against suspects detained arbitrarily in illegal prisons throughout the world as is standard practice police violence against African Americans in this country.
Deeply concern that the arguments supporting the proposed sanctions Venezuelan officials are more linked to alleged reasons of economic management that verifiable facts of human rights violation.
Additionally, it is absurd that the sources of information used by promoters of this aggression against Venezuela are national and international nongovernmental organizations whose funding comes from the United States or rightist organizations allied countries.
The countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) want to emphasize that not permit the use of old practices already implemented in countries of the region aimed at encouraging the change of political regime, situation that has happened in other regions of the world.
Therefore, (ALBA –TCP) express their deepest support and solidarity with the people and Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) strongly reiterated its rejection of any aggression, whether legal, economic or political, against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which constitutes a violation of international law and against any member countries of ALBA-TCP, and reserves the right to give proper response to such actions.
