The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, held an interview with Amy Goodman for the US media “Democracy Now”, where he condemned the coup attempts by the Venezuelan opposition, sponsored by the United States government against President Nicolás Maduro Moros.

After holding a meeting with the president of the United Nations Organization, António Guterres, aimed to consolidate the set of actions that are being carried out by the Caribbean nation and the international organization in order to strengthen multilateralism in the region, the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, said that the presidential term corresponding to the second constitutional mandate of President Nicolás Maduro will be focused on deepening democracy in the country.

The FM of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, held a bilateral meeting on Wednesday with the Russian Ambassador to the United Nations, Vassily Nebenzia.

On Monday, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, received a phone call from his counterpart from the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in order to confirm the attendance of his vice president, Fuat Oktay, to the inauguration of the Venezuelan Head of State, which will be held on January 10.

Before the declaration of the Paraguayan vice chancellor, Hugo Saguier Caballero, who reveals the rupture of diplomatic relations with Venezuela, the vice-minister for Latin America of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Alexander Yánez, clarified through his Twitter account @ alexanderyd2030, that this measure will not exempt them from their commitments with PDVSA.

“We have started with strength in the recovery of the Venezuelan oil industry”, said the head of State and Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros.

Venezuela has once again shown its adherence to the model of participatory and protagonist democracy being built daily in a framework of peace while successfully holding the recent municipal elections on December 10, 2017.

The ILPS CANADA condemns in the strongest terms possible the Trudeau governments ongoing pandering to US imperialism in Venezuela. The Canadian Government has clearly illustrated over the past several months, in over a dozen statements, actions at the Organization of American States (OAS) and leadership in the “Lima Group”, that it is intent on supporting US efforts to undermine the democratically-elected government in Venezuela.

Regional Elections took place in Venezuela on October 15, 2017 and the turnout was an unprecedented 61.14% of the 18,094,065 registered voters participating – over 11 million Venezuelans exercised their right vote.

The government of Canada aims at regime change in Venezuela in political alignment with the US Trump administration. Canada and Venezuela have shared unbroken diplomatic relations since February 1948, but they have never been at the current lowest point. Last October 19, Jorge Arreaza, Venezuelan minister of foreign affairs served the Canadian charge d’affaires, Craig Kowalik, a formal diplomatic protest note “for the persistent and systematic interference in the internal affairs of Venezuela.”

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela informs the Venezuelan citizenry and our brothers and sisters of the world about the armed attacks perpetrated this afternoon, on Tuesday, June 27, against the premises of the Ministry of People’s Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, and the Supreme Tribunal of Justice, both in Caracas, as part of a coup-mongering escalation against the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its institutions.

Vancouver, April 19, 2017.- The Front for the Defense of the Peoples Hugo Chávez - Southwest Chapter of Canada, congratulates the Venezuelan people and government in their celebration of the independence from Spain on April 19, 1810.

We celebrate together with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela the date that marked the beginning of the Venezuelan independence process from Caracas, with the emergence of a political movement that would initiate the "Revolution of 1810".

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, before the serious and irregular events that have been developing against the Venezuelan State in the heart of the Organization of American States  (OAS), has addressed the President of the Permanent Council to request the suspension of the session called for Tuesday, March 28, of this year, by a group of countries without the due consent from the Venezuelan Government, as is contemplated in the rules that guide this regional organization.

The Honourable Marcel Prud'homme passed away in Ottawa on January 25, 2017 at the age of 82. Son of the late Dr. Hector Prud'homme and the late Lucia Paquette, he was also predeceased by his eleven brothers and sisters. He is survived and will be missed by his nieces and nephews (especially Geoffrey, from Ottawa) as well as their spouses and children, faithful friends, former colleagues and former staff members.
