STATEMENT
The " Hugo Chavez Front for the Defense of the Peoples", Ottawa and Capital Region Chapter (FDPHC), repudiates and condemns once again Donald Trump’s recent declarations issued in a brief statement by the spokesman of the White House in which, once again, boasting arrogance and conceit, threatened the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela if it does not attend to his orders and imperial dictates.
In the face of the empire’s evident failure to legitimize the escalation of abuses with the support of the right-wing and the governments of the continent by means of a condemnatory and interventionist resolution of the OAS and its agent, Luis Almagro; today, in a deranged form, the US president makes a new and regrettable appearance, trying to legitimize the plebiscite farce mounted by the so-called "Venezuelan opposition," on July 16, urging the legitimately elected government of Nicolás Maduro Moros to desist from the popular election process of the National Constituent Assembly, scheduled for July 30, under cynical threats and vile blackmail, apocalyptic futures and scorn, should they not attend to their imperatives and arrogant orders and provisions.
It is clear that the electoral process of July 30th, takes away the sleep of stateless persons and their sponsors, incapable of acting with credibility, verifiable and veracious actions, according to the established constitutional and legal order, to a vast sector of the Venezuelan population, in spite of their campaigns of intimidation, threats, blackmail and a ruthless boycott of the economy, with which they tried to minimize the effects of the electoral simulacrum organized by the Venezuelan National Electoral Council, as a figure of consultation only for own consumption and guides. What they seek, is only to legitimize an intervention, a civil war or a coup d’état, and not the expression of the great majority of the Venezuelan population, determined to express itself sovereignly and with freedom of conscience, for a future of peace, democracy and serenity within the legal and constitutional framework, as it will very soon. If their "plebiscite" was a resounding success, why do they offer dialogue in exchange for the cancellation of the electoral consultation to activate the constituent power?
The blackmail scheme of the empire and the aforementioned opposition is then exposed, and does not contemplate gauging itself in regards to the great majorities, but instead, by overthrowing through force and terror, the constitutionally-elected government or forcing its early resignation. Its agenda is to further divide the country, create the conditions for an alleged "transition" with a so-called "national unity government"; to strong-arm for a "national strike" in search of a supposed correlation of nonexistent forces in its favour and to generate a state of ungovernability, anarchy and misrule to present itself as an alternative of "national salvation", trying to take the initiative through the wear and tear of the population.
There is a "retained anger" in Venezuela, that they, along with their imperial agents intend to exploit to turn it into irrational hatred and "limitless violence" in order to profit from and to justify any intervention and assassinations as they have done in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria and other countries.
These agents of hatred and revenge are once again mistaken when they try to engage with the lowest human passions in the name of alleged freedom and democracy (robust, according to Trump's expressions), which only they can read in their own way and under the magnifying glass of their petty interests.
Venezuela will continue to be free and sovereign and will emerge victorious over the ashes of hatred and violence, lies, destruction and death brought about by foreign and national elements without citizenship or flags other than greed, selfishness, and their heightened hatred for causes of social justice; turning a deaf ear to the irrationality and the enormous lack of common sense that they claim to impose with arrogance through blackmail, threats and even death.
We, all the peoples of the Americas and the world, united in solidarity, are ready to combine forces, energies and reasons to make truth and justice prevail in the Bolivarian homeland.
Long live free and sovereign Venezuela!
Long live Simón Bolívar and Jose Martí!
Long live Latin-American unity and solidarity!
Chavez lives!
The Referendum is happening!
[The opposition] will not reach their goals!
