On this remarkable date, the Bolivarian Government highlights and commemorates the figure represented by the founder leader and first Turkish President, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who consolidated his nation as a modern and democratic State -with a relevant political leadership within the concert of nations of the world- example of the struggle against the hegemonic imperial powers and the quest for peace. The Bolivarian Government stresses the new level of the political dialogue achieved through the recent visit by the President Nicolas Maduro Moros to this nation and the successful completion of the 2nd Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation, on the past October 6th, 2017, which opened the path to forge a strategic bilateral alliance on energy, political, agriculture, air transportation, security and tourism fields. The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms the close bonds of friendship and cooperation between both sisterly nations and its commitment to continue to work jointly to achieve the supreme happiness of our peoples.
