Venezuela celebrates with the people and Government of Turkey the 94th Anniversary of the Republic's founding

OFFICIAL COMUNIQUE

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Moros, on behalf of his government and the Venezuelan people conveys the most sincere and fraternal congratulations to the government and people of Turkey on the celebration of the 94th anniversary of the founding of theTurkish Republic.

On this remarkable date, the Bolivarian Government highlights and commemorates the figure represented by the founder leader and first Turkish President, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who consolidated his nation as a modern and democratic State -with a relevant political leadership within the concert of nations of the world- example of the struggle against the hegemonic imperial powers and the quest for peace. As the grand Turkish revolutionary leader said:

“Yurtta bariş, dünyada bariş”
[Peace at home, peace at the world]

The Bolivarian Government stresses the new level of the political dialogue achieved through the recent visit by the President Nicolas Maduro Moros to this nation and the successful completion of the 2nd Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation, on the past October 6th, 2017, which opened the path to forge a strategic bilateral alliance on energy, political, agriculture, air transportation, security and tourism fields. The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms the close bonds of friendship and cooperation between both sisterly nations and its commitment to continue to work jointly to achieve the supreme happiness of our peoples.

"Veterinarian Doctor Day"

On July 21, the National Day of Veterinary is celebrated in Venezuela. This date was chosen during the I Grancolombian Congress of Veterinarian Doctors, event that took place from July 21-28, 1946, in the Andrés Bello High School, in Caracas, Venezuela.

In the afore-mentioned event, representatives from Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and Venezuela discussed several professional, academic and social proposals, and they agreed to celebrate the "Veterinarian Doctor Day" on 21 July of each year; however, today, this day is onlycelebrated in Venezuela.
