The Venezuelan president welcomes efforts to improve relations with Spanish government. Tensions that erupted last week between Spain and Venezuela after the Spanish government's attempts to meddle in the Latin American country's internal affair appeared to diminish Sunday after conciliatory statements from both nations.

The computers will go to schoolchildren in over 300 public schools. The Venezuelan state-owned company PDVSA donated 50,000 computers to El Salvador Thursday. The delivery was announced by Salvadoran President Salvador Sanchez Ceren through his Twitter account. With the program “One kid, one computer” the Salvadoran government aims at delivering computers to over 2,500 public schools throughout this year. “Today is a historical day for #ElSalvador's Education System. We begin the program: one girl, one boy, one computer,” Sanchez Ceren wrote on his Twitter.

Qatar, April 22, 2015. (MPPRE) .- This Wednesday, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez and Venezuelan Ministers of Economy and Finance, Rodolfo Marco Torres and of Energy and Oil, Asdrubal Chavez, met with staff of the Qatar Ministry of Energy, with whom they discussed projects and joint petrochemical oil investment in the "Hugo Chavez" Orinoco Oil Belt.

As part of strengthening the Special Economic Development Zone, this meeting seals the agreements set out in the meeting that was held in Caracas in previous days with the OPEC diplomatic corps accredited in Venezuela, where Minister Rodríguez Gómez, jointly with Asdrubal Chavez emphasized the importance of the territorial oil reserves, both for Venezuela and the World.

Delcy Rodriguez says the Rajoy government has overstepped boundaries by disrespecting Venezuela. Venezuelan Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez criticized the Spanish government of Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy Wednesday, saying it has exceeded itself by failing to respect Venezuela’s government and its people.

Iran, April 20, 2015. (MPPRE) .- The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Delcy Rodríguez Gómez accompanied by the Minister of Petroleum, Asdrubal Chavez, met on Monday in Iran with Minister of Petroleum, Biyán Namdar Zangané and Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, with whom she addressed the situation of the bilateral agenda.

Importantly, the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade is the leading cooperative agreements with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Venezuela-Iran imports amounted to $ 89 million in 2009. Both countries have signed dozens of agreements, of which stand out: the construction of houses, milk factories, automotive, energy, among others.

Caracas, April 22, 2015 (MPPRE) .- In regards to its fourth anniversary, the Institute of Strategic Studies on Africa and its Diaspora (Centre of African Knowledge) will have from Wednesday, April 22 to Friday 24, the II International Congress of African, Caribbean and Diaspora knowledge: the Caribbean that unites us.

The activity, which is also part of the celebrations of the two hundred years since the proclamation of the Charter of Jamaica, where the Liberator Simón Bolívar advocates for the unity of Abya Yala America, will be held in the facilities of the Rómulo Gallegos (Celarg) Center for Latin American Studies , and divided into three workshops.

Saudi Arabia, April 21, 2015. (MPPRE). - Before leaving for Qatar, Venezuela's Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez, held a working meeting with Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman at the headquarters of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia.

The Foreign Minister was accompanied by representatives of the Bolivarian Government, Marcos Torres, Vice-president of Economy and Finance and Asdrubal Chavez, Minister of Petroleum and Mining. During the meeting, issues to be reviewed in the next Joint Commission to be held during the third week of May, in the city of Caracas, were addressed.

The presidential election took place against the backdrop of the death of former President Hugo Chavez and the opposition smelled blood. After the failure of numerous illegal attempts to oust the elected Chavez government and having lost numerous elections against Chavez's coalition of supporters, including a resounding 55-44 percent presidential defeat just months before his death, Venezuela’s right-wing coalition saw its chance to reverse the revolutionary changes undertaken by Chavez. Those had seen Venezuela’s oil riches finally shared with the long-excluded majority of the population, with the old elite losing their tight grip on power.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro confirmed receipt of the loan on Sunday. Venezuela has secured a new $5 billion loan from China that will be repaid with crude oil and refined products, President Nicolas Maduro confirmed on Sunday. "We have received US$5 billion more to finance development," Maduro said Sunday during a televised speech. Maduro made the announcement but did not provide details on the repayment terms. The most recent loan comes as President Maduro visited Beijing last January in which he secured US$20bn in investment from China in support of social and infrastructure projects.

At least 60 percent of the registered candidates are women. Ahead of parliamentary elections set to take place this year, Venezuelan political parties began their primaries Monday with the governing United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) announcing it had received around 46,000 candidate registrations.
