WORK PERMIT (TR-L)
The authorisation of this type of visa is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of the Interior and Justice, with the prior consent of the Labour Ministry of Venezuela. The Venezuelan enterprise or citizen interested in hiring the services of foreigners must apply before the aforementioned ministries.
The requirements to be met by the hiring parties in the country shall be established by the aforementioned Ministries.
Exception:
Artists, foreign correspondents of a news service, and sports people involved in lucrative activities and whose representatives must solely obtain the authorisation from the Ministry of the Interior and Justice establishing the visa requirements and the authorised period of time to stay in the country.
REQUIREMENTS TO BE MET ABROAD (AFTER MEETING THE CONDITIONS STATED IN THE FIRST PARAGRAPH OF THIS PAGE).
1. The Consular Section of the Venezuelan Embassy must be authorised by the National Ministry of Identification and Foreign Affairs (ONI-DEX because of its Spanish name - Oficina Nacional de Identificación y Extranjería). Said authorisation will be in force for six (6) months, as off the date it was issued.
2. The visa applicant must prove his labour condition by means of academic degrees, attestations of labour experience or other documents.
3. The applicant must provide a certified copy of the work permit issued by the Labour Ministry of Venezuela. The cases foreseen in the “Exceptions” paragraph are excepted.
Note: This type of visa is granted for one (1) year, multiple entries, to stay in the country for the same period of time. The Ministry of the Interior and Justice may extend it, upon request, for another year, if the Labour Ministry of Venezuela previously ratifies the work authorisation.
The spouse, children under eighteen (18) years of age, parents and parents in law of the holder of a work permit who enter the country to settle down with the applicant will be granted with a visa of visitor family member.
