REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR A VISA TO ENTER IN VENEZUELA

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. - The Consular Section of the Venezuelan Embassy will process all visa applications submitted within the jurisdiction of Ottawa, Carleton, Hull, and the immediate neighbourhood.  Applicants within this jurisdiction who live outside Ottawa may apply through postage paid mail.

2. - Citizens and passengers of sport ships from the countries which citizens are entitled to the benefits of the DEX-2 Tourist Card (See List below) do not require a tourist visa to enter in the country.  The Venezuelan Tourism Corporation issues the DEX-2 Tourist Card to authorised transportation companies carrying or providing for the transit of persons.  This card authorises its holders to stay in the country for a non-extendible period of up to ninety (90) days, a single entry.

3.- The Ministry of the Interior and Justice may grant the status of Venezuelan resident, renewable every five (5) years, to any applying foreigner who has stayed in the territory of the Venezuelan Republic for at least one year with any of the following types of visa: non immigrant investor, people visiting family in Venezuela, visitor home maker, visitor members of a religious order, work permit, or the corresponding visa issued to other members of a family accompanying the visa holder.

4.- The Consular Section of the Venezuelan Embassy may not grant group visas without the authorisation of the Ministry of the Interior and Justice or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  In the case of family passports a visa will be granted to every non- immigrant family member accompanying the holder of the passport.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

For the application of any type of visa the following is requested:

1.- An up to date passport valid for at least six (6) months and issued by the pertinent authority.
2.- Two recent front view colour photograph, 2 x 2 size.
3.- Fill a visa application, previously requested before the Consular Section of the Venezuelan Embassy.
4.-The consular fees for this process has to be cancelled with a money order, under the name of : Embassy of Venezuela. The established consular fee is Consular Service law of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and you can to find in the link: Consular Fees.
