TOURIST VISA (T)
Issued to: whomever wants to enter Venezuela for purposes of leisure, health, or to carry out non remunerating or lucrative activities such as those related to the cultural, artistic, scientific, or sport fields; to establish contact with enterprises established in the country or persons who work for enterprises in the public or private sector; or to carry out journalistic activities for the coverage of special events.
REQUIREMENTS
1. The applicant shall prove that he does not intend to come in the country with immigration purposes. To do so the applicant must provide a document that proves his address in a foreign country.
2. The applicant must show the original of any of the following documents:
A letter issued by a banking institution (addressed to the Consular Section, where the name of the applicant is indicated as well as the type and number of bank account in his favour, opening date and current average balance); a letter from the applicant’s employer (stating the date after which the applicant has been working for the enterprise and his current position); a letter that proves the possession of real states; or the applicant’s commercial, entrepreneurial, mercantile or industrial activities; a letter that states the family relationship; or any other document that shows the economic status of the applicant.
Note: The tourist visa is granted for one (1) year, multiple entries, to stay in the country for a period of up to ninety (90) days. The visa may be extended for a period of time in the same length as judged by the Ministry of the Interior and Justice.
