Venezuela has had a Diplomatic Mission in Canada since 1952. In 1985, the Government of Venezuela acquired an unlisted Heritage house, built in 1927, to house its Chancery, on 32 Range Road, in the traditional quarter of Sandy Hill, Ottawa.

The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela carries out the typical functions of a Diplomatic Mission, and its work is divided among these different sections:

Head of Mission.
You may contact him at
secretaria.canada@misionvenezuela.org

Political Section. This section is in charge of maintaining a constant fluid of information on all political matters that affect both countries: to Canada, on the Venezuelan Political scene and to Venezuela on the Canadian political developments. Reach this section at
politica.canada@misionvenezuela.org

Consular Section. This section has a double function: it takes care of both the registrar functions of a Consulate and of the Immigration part of it. It deals with Venezuelans who need to register themselves, their marriage, their newly born children, etc., as well as the Certification of all sorts of Documents needed to be presented to the Venezuelan Authorities. On the other hand, it also issues visas for those who need these documents on their passports to be able to enter Venezuela. As you may be aware, the jurisdiction, or territory that a Consulate covers is generally limited and thus, you may want to check if your needs should be addressed by our Consular Section at the Embassy in Ottawa, or by the General Consulates of Venezuela, located either in Toronto or in Montreal. You may contact this Section at
consulado.canada@misionvenezuela.org

Cultural Section, This section is in charge of coordinating all cultural activities involving the Embassy in Canada, with the purpose of promoting our artistic talent and the venezuelan culture in North America. You may contact us at
cultural.canada@misionvenezuela.org

Economy and Trade Section. This section is in charge of maintaining, improving and looking for new economic and trade relations between Canada and Venezuela, identifying key factors that could lead to an increase of the bilateral trade exchange. Contact this section at
economia.canada@misionvenezuela.org

Tourism and Information Section. This section is in charge of answering the needs of information and promotional material of individuals willing to learn more about Venezuela and the various tour operators that offer travels to our country. It is also in charge of developing new relations with the tourism industry of Canada and to encourage Canadians to come and discover our amazing country. Contact this section at
turismo.canada@misionvenezuela.org

Administration. This section is in charge of all administrative matters of the Embassy’s Chancery and Official Residence. If you need to contact this section, please do at
